What HRM & Payroll does
The StoreCashier Pro HRM & Payroll module is a complete HR suite inside WordPress. It covers employee records with documents, departments, designations, grades and shifts; attendance with browser web punch (IP and geofence), biometric CSV import, shift roster and overtime; leave types, balances and holidays; and payroll runs with salary structures, tax slabs, provident fund, social security, loans and commission.
Payroll can be posted to a payment account, and payslips can be printed, downloaded as PDF (generated locally) or e-mailed. Employees whose WordPress user is linked to their record get a My HR tab in WooCommerce My Account to punch in, apply for leave, download payslips and submit expense claims.
Availability: This module is part of StoreCashier Pro. In the free plugin it is visible as a read-only preview marked PRO.

Employees and setup
- Organisation setup ProDepartments, designations, grades / bands with salary ranges, shifts (grace, half-day, overtime, night shift) and branches with geofence and allowed punch IPs.
- Employee records ProPersonal details and identity documents with expiry dates, contacts and emergency contacts, employment details, payroll, bank and tax data, education, skills and references.
- Employee statuses ProActive, On Probation, On Leave, Serving Notice, Suspended, Resigned, Terminated, Retired and Inactive.
Attendance and leave
- Attendance ProDaily log, monthly sheet, bulk mark, overtime, regularisation requests and a 14-day shift roster, with late / early minutes and worked hours calculated from shift rules.
- Web punch with geofence ProClock in / out from the browser with IP allow-lists (exact, wildcard or CIDR) and an optional geofence.
- Biometric CSV import ProImport one row per day or a raw punch log (first punch = in, last = out).
- Leave management ProLeave types with accrual, carry forward, encashment, notice and document rules; balances, a leave calendar and approval routing.
- Holidays ProPer branch, recurring and paid holidays.
Salary and payroll
- Salary components and structures ProEarnings and deductions (fixed, % of basic or % of gross, taxable, pro-rated), with every salary change kept as a revision.
- Payroll runs ProPer month, branch and department (Draft → Approved → Paid), handling pro-ration, overtime, sales commission, unpaid leave, penalties, provident fund, social security, progressive income-tax slabs, loan installments and rounding.
- Mark paid and post ProPosts the payout to an account (optionally as an expense), settles loans and reimbursed claims and can e-mail payslips.
- PDF payslips and exports ProView, print, download as PDF or e-mail payslips; export a bank transfer sheet and a 31-column payroll register.
- Sales targets, loans and expense claims ProMonthly targets with commission from POS sales, loans and advances with installments, and expense claims reimbursed in payroll.

- Lifecycle events ProJoining, confirmation, promotion, transfer, warning, resignation, termination and more, with final settlement preview and onboarding / offboarding checklists.

How does payroll work in StoreCashier Pro?
Define salary components and structures, then run payroll per month, branch or department. Payroll runs handle pro-ration, overtime, sales commission, unpaid leave, provident fund, social security, income-tax slabs and loan installments. Approved payroll can be posted to a payment account, and payslips can be printed, downloaded as PDF or e-mailed.
Can employees clock in from their phone or browser?
Yes. Web punch lets employees clock in and out from the browser, restricted by IP allow-lists and an optional geofence.
Can I import biometric attendance?
Yes. Import a CSV with one row per day or a raw punch log where the first punch is the in-time and the last is the out-time.
Is there an employee self-service portal?
Yes. Employees linked to a WordPress user get a My HR tab in WooCommerce My Account (or use the [storecashier_hr_portal] shortcode) for attendance, leave, payslips, expense claims and their profile.
Can leave requests go through approvals?
Yes. Leave requests can be routed through the Approvals module and are synchronised both ways with the leave screen.
